Last year I didn't make any New Year's resolutions. I made some vague, sweeping statement about how 2014 would be a year of ACTION and DOING THINGS and NOT THINKING TOO MUCH! Problem: that's a little too general for someone like me who thrives on lists and planning and order. I need things to be measurable.
This year, I'm back on the lists wagon. Here are my goals for this year.

Family + Friends
- Plan a summer vacation with the boys
- Sign Eli up for preschool swimming lessons
- February getaway with Pete
- Host friends for dinner 3x this year
Health + Fitness
- Take supplements daily (multivitamin + omega-3 with extra vitamin D)
- Floss daily
- Keep all medical appointments up to date (doctor, dentist)
- Get new glasses
- Cut out added sugar in January...and maaaaybe alcohol? Still on the fence with this one.
- Get regular massages!
- Keep up a solid fitness schedule: 3 runs + 1 additional cardio/week; 2-3 weights sessions; weekly yoga
- Make regular contributions to a savings account/RRSP
- Meet with a financial planner OR sign up for an online service
- Work on additional writing projects outside of my job
- Enrol in a professional development program or project so I can add more strategic value at work
- No devices at the table during meals
- Declutter home
- Try 12 new recipes
- Learn to knit
