This week's list is all about comforts. Being comfortable and cozy is one of my greatest joys, especially in January. There's not much to look at outside right now: most of the snow is gone, other than some dirty snowbanks, there are no more Christmas decorations, and everything is kind of gray and exhausted-looking. So holing up indoors with some comfort food, books, puzzles, and TV has been pretty appealing instead.
pizza + wine on Fridays | chocolate milk | jigsaw puzzles | the smell of fresh-baked bread | my tv blanket | a hot shower after a long run | hugs from my boys | mac'n'cheese | snowshoeing | beach days | bookstore browsing with a hot coffee | Love Actually, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins | leggings | Cards Against Humanity, Scrabble, Scattergories nights | hot bath + candles + stack of trashy magazines | watching Dawson's Creek | Kenny + Dolly's Christmas album | snow days when everyone's home | Thanksgiving dinner | Christmas dinner | dark chocolate | french fries + truffle mayo | crossword puzzles
Hibernating sounds like a reaaaaally good idea now.
What are your greatest comforts? PS - I'm getting my weekly lists from here.

I love this! :) Will catch up!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally in this weird hibernation/slight insomnia mode, and it's really annoying. Hopefully I snap out of it soon 'cause it's gettin' old real quick!
Same here! At least it's been a little warmer this week which makes getting up a wee bit less painful!
DeleteMine is Les Mills Combat in the house, as you said, theres not much outside to do or see, so a half hour of that is what I am doing each day..... if the sun shows its face I am out with the dogs. Other than that its trashy TV of the Rodeo Girls kind
ReplyDeleteI have never done the Combat class but it's at Goodlife. Might check it out. Nothing wrong with trashy tv!
DeleteI love that your list posts include a cup of Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteTotal coincidence! I haven't even been going that often. These are my only two Starbucks this year so far!
DeleteAmy, Amy, Amy... I think we should be BFFs.
ReplyDeleteJust a few days ago as I cleaned our bedroom (TV in the bedroom, I know, BAD!) I started watching the last season of Dawson's Creek because somehow I managed to miss it. I honestly don't remember how things went down at the very end, so, while cleaning I watched... Something so comforting and nostalgic. And I must say, Kenny & Dolly make Christmas, and Mac N' Cheese, Hot Baths and family dinners would rank high on my comfort list too.
I have rewatched Dawson's Creek probably 10 times but somehow I never make it to season 6. I need to go through the entire series start to finish (again...) :)
