  1. ha I love this. I am also not into kale, Breaking Bad, wedge sneakers, zumba OR Lena Dunham. Just in general. Like I get it, she's so fresh and unapologetic but after awhile she's like that friend who updates Facebook six times a day and I just need a break from her. you know?

    1. It's just that every time I sit down to watch Girls I know I'm going to see her naked, which OK, the first few times, it kind of sets the tone, but every dang episode? Playing ping pong stark naked? I'm sorry, no one does that.

    2. true that. I mean mad props to having an insane level of self-confidence that you're cool with your naked body hanging out there for millions of people to see, but dang girl. You made your point, put a robe on!

  2. I can mostly agree with this, with the exception of kale (I love kale chips, you should try making them yourself, they're like potato chips really) and Breaking Bad. That one I just don't get. IT'S THE BEST!!!!! I haven't tried Zumba though, but I might one day, after pregnancy is over & all that.

    Wedge sneakers should be outlawed!

    1. I couldn't make it through more than an episode of Breaking Bad but everyone tells me I need to give it more of a chance. It's on Netflix so I'll give it another try!
I made kale chips WAAAAY too salty/greasy. Again...need to give them another try.
And ummmm I did not know you were pregnant! Congratulations lady!!!!!!

    2. Oh I thought for sure you saw the thing I posted on instagram! Maybe not. I don't really post that often and it's usually pictures of my pets. Plus I haven't said anything on Twitter yet (or my blog)! Thank you soooo much! My doc's early sex prediction say it's a girl! I'm sooooo happy and grateful the nausea is over (mostly).

It really is a great show though - it isn't that long either. I like that the creators knew how they were gonna end it before it even started, so it won't DRAG ON like so many others. This upcoming season is the last!

  3. I bought a $9 bag of kale chips for a flight, took one bite, wanted to spit it out, but swallowed it and then stuffed it under my seat to NEVER be eaten again. They're disgusting.

Breaking bad, I'm in the same boat... I just couldn't do it.

It took me almost a year to like my iPad, and even still I just use it for Instagram because I have a Blackberry. Oh and 4 pics 1 word.

You will NEVER catch me at a Zumba class, I've been begged. Helllllll no.

    Nail art is just bad.

I also would like to add....
50 Shades of Grey. I had to stop - terrible.
    Dancing with the Stars
Blue, purple and green nail polish tones on fingers - I can handle turquoise or really dark (read: almost black) versions of blue, purple and green
Sharing photos from random pages with a "funny" message on Facebook - stop, just stop.
Keurigs - french press for life.

p.s. I don't know what wedge sneakers are or who Lena Dunham is.

    1. Lena Dunham writes, produces, and stars in Girls on HBO. She is awesome but just constantly naked on the show.

Never read 50 Shades, never seen Dancing with the Stars! I plan to keep it that way!

    1. I love avocados and chickpeas. And Walking Dead, despite a major hate on for most things zombie! I am addicted to Pinterest. So many awesome recipes on there! I can only take Jian in small doses.

  5. I am with you on all of these things! The ping pong episode of Girls - I felt like Lena Dunham wrote that to fulfill some fantasy/dream she had. I don't blame her, he was hot & I felt bad cringing when I saw her come on screen but it just wasn't something I never want to see again! But I love the show!

I think you covered most of it but other things I cannot get down with: floral patterns/clothing (reminds me of Esprit from the 90s), Chevron (I like it for home decor but I just can't go all the way with it, never bought any, don't think I could wear chevron clothing). It's Friday, I've had some wine...that's all I can come up with. :)

    1. The ping pong just went on SO LONG. Uncomfortably long. Michaels has a very cute chevron iPhone case I was considering, not gonna lie!

  6. Sorry, it was something I *NEVER* want to see again.

  7. Hahaha! Love this post.

I had to Google wedge sneakers and ombre. It's just letting roots go wild?!

I like Zumba, but that's okay, we can agree to disagree! :)

    Things I don't get

    - Why anyone likes Taylor Swift (SORRIES)
    - Harlem Shake
    - Posting 3D baby sonograms on FB.
    - Doctor Who
    - Pinterest (I am not getting sucked in!)
    - G+, but I'm just kinda sad that it didn't pick up...

    1. I feel like I spent my early 20s trying to avoid "ombre" so I just can't get on board with it now.

I've only done Zumba once and have never felt so uncoordinated in my life. Meanwhile I was surrounded by ladies who were SO INTO IT and being crazy.

  8. Amy, I know I've become kind of a comment-aholic on your Blog, but I can't help it. You seem to take the words right out of my mouth!
I watched two epis of Breaking Bad and hated it, found it distrubing. Blah.
Lena, so cute and inspiring at times... But, you're so right. Too much titties, kinda slobby and I feel sort of dirty after each episode.
Kale, couldn't even tell you what it tastes like.
Ombre, "Hi, I'd like the my-highlights-grew-out-and-I-haven't-touched-up-my-roots-in-years look!"... No thanks.
    Nail art, WHY!?
And the zumba I do in the privacy of my own house, is enough zumba for me.

On another note, I'm not into Taylor Swift either, 50 shades of anything, and I haven't given David's Tea much of a chance. Can I also add that I am not digging ANY of today's hit music? Channel 2 and 3 on my Sirus has been avoided for months.

    1. I found Breaking Bad really slow and hard to get into. Everyone says to watch at least a few episodes, so maybe I just haven't seen enough!

Some people do ombre really well, when it looks intentional. My hair is so super straight it would just look like roots on me!

  9. I love GIRLS!!!!! LOL its so funny and strange that it just becomes addicting. But I guess your point about her being naked a little too much.
I think I'm inspired to do a post similar to this on my blog. I'll have to start making a list.

    1. I love Girls too...I just don't know why she's gotta be nude every.single.episode!

  10. I agree with a lot of this list. I can't handle Breaking Bad either and am very opposed to wedge sneakers. I don't dislike kale, but I do dislike the fact that eating it is such a fad. I hate all the spam on Facebook, poor grammar, Toopy & Binoo, people who wear sandals and winter coats together, and anything to do with Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake. Tip of the iceberg. Excellent topic. Ah, feels good to get that off my chest. Happy weekend!

  11. Wait, I'm supposed to be into wedge sneakers? They remind me too much of platform sneakers and Spice Girls. Don't get me wrong, I loved me some Spice, but not the sneaks.

Kale, The walking dead, 50's style glasses, Lena Dunham and Girls, p90x, running, etc, foodie culture, wine connoisseur culture.

  12. I'm totes stealing this idea for a blog post... I'll link to you of course! Love this.

And I don't think I'll ever get behind wedge sneakers...

  13. I'm so with you on so many of these. I also just can't get into The Following. Twitter. Really don't get twitter. Or LinkedIn for that matter.
