It's Ten on Tuesday tiiiime!

1. Is there a band/artist that you HATE?
Nickelback, aka Canada's biggest embarrassment. The reasons are obvious - no elaboration necessary. Does anyone not hate Nickelback? Please expose yourselves if you like Nickelback and explain to me what it is you enjoy about them. I'm dying to know why they keep making music. Obviously someone must like them.

2. What do you do when you get a gift that you do not like? How do you react?
If I'm opening the gift in front of the gift-giver I (very poorly) feign excitement. If you look closely you can tell I'm not smizing. I'm a terrible actress. If they're nowhere nearby my reaction is typically "What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?" I'm really bad at hiding my feelings - almost as bad as I am at faking happy smiles.

3. How is your work office/cubicle decorated?
I have a 'welcome to the team' card from when I started work here and a framed picture of Pete and I on our honeymoon with the Eiffel Tower in the background - that's the extent of the decorative elements. Other than that you'll find a dirty coffee mug, water glass, pens, notebooks, files, hand lotion and sticky notes. So I would say it's "messy chic".

4. Do you use all of your vacation every year?
I don't think I've ever used all my entitled vacation. I carried over 3.5 days from last year. Will this be the year I use all my vacation days? Stay tuned to find out!

5. Did you have a real or fake Christmas tree?
Real real real real real. Fake trees make me sad! I love the smell, the sticky sap, the needles falling off, the MESS that comes with having a real tree. I love going to pick it a new tree year after year and watching Peter crawl under the branches to water it.

6. If you could have anything for dinner tonight, what would it be?
A huge dish of curry with veggies, tofu, and peanuts, and white rice. Which is prrrrrrrobably exactly what I'll have. Necessity is the mother of all invention. Although, I saw a picture of fettucine alfredo yesterday that's making me crave pasta a little.

7. Do you bite your fingernails?
No - however, I bite the skin around my nails. There's a delicious mental image for you. Mmm, hand skin!

8. How many cups of coffee do you drink each day?
Today I drank two, but usually one is enough. I usually have a green tea or a hot chocolate in the afternoon.

9. Do you have a nervous tick?
I have a horrible nervous giggle that I only do when I'm nervous. I follow up everything I say with this retarded giggle, even when it's not remotely funny. "I'm proficient in Excel! Haha!" "Can you give us more constructive feedback? Haha!" Awful. Not even a "haha", it's more of a one-syllable "HUNH!" snort/gasp.

10. How often do you vacuum?
We only have carpet on our stairs to our basement and the rest of our house is hardwood and tile so vacuuming is pretty minimal. Usually I just sweep each room and collect the dust and crud into little piles and then Pete goes around the house and vacuums up the piles. This happens probably not nearly frequently enough. Like every...two weeks? I don't know. The only time we vacuum with gusto is when a glass or vase or something gets broken which occurs every few days. Whatever, we're dirty. If you don't like it don't come over. I'm feeling so snarky this morning! I'm sorry!

  1. I hate Nickleback and agree that they are Canada's embarrassment...that and Beiber... and Pam Anderson (even though she's technically American now). My cousin LOVES them and has seen them in concert a bajillion times. I hate them. HATE. I will admit that I did like the song Hero when it came out, even though it's not Nickleback and just Chad... it makes me cringe now to think I remotely liked him. I was around 12 don't judge.

  2. Bieber makes me laugh - a lot of people hate him but he doesn't bother me. I think it's hilarious that he's the face of a line of NAIL POLISH. And that his mom supposedly took away his cell phone.

  3. Nickelback are Canada's biggest embarassment and I can't believe they were even briefly popular in England!

Also? Nuts in curry are amazing. Cashews even more than peanuts :)
