I don't know if you can read the writing in the wonderfully grainy photo above, but this is the hastily-compiled shopping list I just scribbled for our housewarming party tomorrow night.

Confession: The last time I hosted a party, my friends and I had a New Kids on the Block dance party, wore acid-wash jean skirts, and played Pictionary. I received numerous snap bracelets and unicorn merchandise as gifts. That all actually sounds pretty good to me now, too. 20 years later, o-m-g. Hi, my name is Amy and I'm an old hag.

As you can see from the list above, I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to hosting a bunch of people, nor how to prepare, other than making lots of fruity alcohol concoctions and cleaning the house maniacally at 4am like a poster child for crystal meth. I love the mix of alcohol with things like Jello and Skittles. (Jello shooters and Skittle vodka, obvi.) It looks like some sort of crazy daycare/nightclub hybrid for vegetarians. I just realized I forgot to add juice to my list. And stocking up on TP? That's what we call "foresight".
